| Cabinet of United States: Designated Survivor

Agenda Item: Open Agenda

The term Designated Survivor comes from the Presidential Succession Act of 1947. A designated survivor is usually chosen from the United States Cabinet whom is an individual in the presidential line of succession. They would be at a physically distant, secure, and undisclosed location when the president, vice president, and the other officials in the line of succession are gathered at a single location, State of the Union addresses or presidential inaugurations. The reason behind is that to make sure there is a legitimate successor to the office of President of the United States in the circumstance of a chaotic event that kills the President and many officials in the presidential line of succession, for instance a mass shooting, bombing attack or catastrophic natural disaster. If any of the mentioned events happened, killing both the president and the vice president, the surviving official highest in the line, conceivably the designated survivor, would become the acting president of the United States under the Presidential Succession Act.

After Donald J. Trump won his second term in the 2020 United States Presidential election, many of the American citizens were not happy with the outcome. At the inauguration ceremony of Donald J. Trump's second term, the most horrific of the US history has occurred. The president, vice president and every single official in the line of succession was killed by a terrorist attack. Only the designated survivor was left alive. The new members of the cabinet, you the delegates, will help the designated survivor to pull America out of this crisis. Ease the pain of the American nation by solving who did this unspeakable act and solve any crisis that will happen during these times! I as your Under Secretary General have a motto for my crisis committees, and I would like to share with you all.

Achieve Greatness in Chaos !
